Outbound exchange students can have the opportunity to experience living independently overseas and study at high-ranking institutions and still gain credit towards their degree at Kuwait University.

Undergraduate students (Eligibility):
For an undergraduate student to be eligible for a position in the outbound student exchange program a student:
- Must be accredited at Kuwait University and no disciplinary sanctions taken against him/her.
- Must already passed four semesters at Kuwait university.
- Number of passed credits should be minimum 60.
- GPA above 3.0
- Study abroad minimum normal load as in Kuwait university (i.e., 4 courses).
- Need to study 15 credits at Kuwait university upon the completion of the SEP abroad.
- Fluency in English.
Graduate students (Eligibility):
For a graduate student to be eligible for a position in the outbound student exchange program a student:
- Must be accredited at Kuwait University and no disciplinary sanctions taken against him/her.
- Must already passed two semesters at Kuwait university.
- Number of passed credits should be minimum 15.
- GPA above 3.5
- Study only one semester abroad
- Need to study 9 credits at Kuwait university upon the completion of the SEP abroad
- Fluency in English.
