Welcome to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs
The Vice President for Academic Affairs works closely with the President, other Vice Presidents, the Deans of colleges and directors of units to set the academic priorities for the University. The VPAA’s responsibilities include: development and delivery of quality undergraduate programs; recruitment, promotion and professional development of faculty and academic support personnel; development of international partnerships for students and faculty; and coordination of academic quality assurance programs including accreditation.
The work of the Office of the VPAA is made possible by the active involvement of many members of our faculty and staff through various committees and working groups, as well as colleges and academic departments.

On this occasion, we congratulate Kuwait University on the passage of 57 years since its establishment, and Kuwait University is considered a major cultural leap in the history of the State of Kuwait and a tributary of the tributaries of preparing national cadres and leaders in various fields of knowledge and raising the wheel of progress in the country and all development plans.
Kuwait University was established more than 57 years ago and was an academic edifice of innovation with a distinguished global standing, and its mission was clear to be a major source of human energies for the initiative to develop the knowledge economy of the State of Kuwait.
It is an honor and a pleasure to be here today from within the Kuwait University family to celebrate with you the occasion of the 57th anniversary of its founding. I hope for further prosperity for my university, and for it to be at the forefront of education and scientific research for all its academic programs as it is one of the oldest and leading teaching and research institutions in Kuwait. And the region.
