
Kuwait University Welcomes the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Discuss Academic and Research Cooperation
On the morning of Monday, June 30, 2025, Prof. Osama Al-Omair, Vice-President for Planning and Acting Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Kuwait University, welcomed His Excellency Chong Suk Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the State of Kuwait, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
During the meeting, both parties explored frameworks for enhancing academic cooperation and promoting cultural and knowledge exchange. The discussion also focused on the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the operation of the cooperative program between King Sejong Institute and Kuwait University, which continues to progress steadily toward further development and integration.
Prof. Al-Omair emphasized that the meeting served to review the latest academic and scientific research developments, in addition to discussing mechanisms for strengthening academic collaboration, particularly concerning the MoU for King Sejong Institute program. He praised the significance of the deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries, which are reflected in their cooperation in research, academia, and student exchange. The meeting also included the exchange of perspectives on a variety of topics related to student exchange and joint research.
For his part, Ambassador Chong Suk Park expressed his great pride and appreciation for visiting Kuwait University, as part of ongoing efforts to elevate academic and research collaboration. He also expressed his hope for enhanced, fruitful cooperation, particularly regarding discussions of King Sejong Institute management.
